An evening of sips, songs, and silent bids

St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Reston, VA
Voce will sing for your supper at its inaugural Spring Soirée and silent auction! Join us for a night of elegance and entertainment including antipasti and dinner catered by a Michelin-rated restaurant, drinks, dessert, and live performances by the Voce Chamber Singers and various soloists and small groups from the ensemble. Enjoy discovering a rich assortment of items up for auction, ranging from handmade artisan crafts and personalized services to themed gift baskets and goods from local small businesses. As you sit back and relax, you’ll be serenaded with a cabaret of solos and ensemble numbers, plus reprisals of Voce fan favorites from this season. Dress code is cocktail attire.
The Silent Auction is now complete, final bidding concluded on May 1 during the event. All proceeds from the evening supported Voce’s mission to sustain and promote the beauty of the choral art form in our community, and allow us to reach wider, more diverse audiences with our music.

“Lift Every Voice”

The beauty of choral music belongs to all of us! Join Voce as we present a program focused on voices typically underrepresented in the world of classical music. Repertoire for this performance will focus on the perspectives and contributions of women as well as individuals from brown, black, and indigenous communities. As a part of the “Lift Every Voice,” we are delighted to be performing a new commission by Roland Carter in collaboration with the Chorus America Commission Consortium that will honor the life of Congressman John Lewis.

Nothing captures the joy of the season like the resounding voices of Voce Chamber Singers! This December we will present an eclectic program featuring jubilant choral-orchestral gems from Mendelssohn’s Christus and Durante’s Magnificat as well as music from around the globe. Lift your voice and “Rejoice!” with Voce as we perform beloved carol arrangements by David Willcocks and treasured pieces from the choral repertoire including Pearsall’s “In Dulci Jubilo.” To include cheerful and exuberant works by Sweelinck, Guerrero, and Arvo Pärt

“Choral Fantasy”

Experience the magic of choral music! Join Voce Chamber Singers as we present a program featuring repertoire that captures the divine, supernatural, and wild. Together we will welcome the return of in-person performance with light-hearted and expressive works from Weelkes to Whitacre. This program will also include the in-person premiere of our 2021 Chorus America Commission Consortium piece, “Alchemy” by Karen Thomas. To include works by Bach and Poulenc.
