Voce Chamber Singers is dedicated to presenting the highest caliber of chamber choral music of all musical periods from around the globe and to commissioning new choral works.
Voce is committed to providing leadership in developing, encouraging, and promoting broad public awareness and appreciation of choral and vocal performance. Voce’s creative team will continue to create inspirational concerts and present excellently performed musical repertoire. With its diverse programming, Voce will reach out to a widening audience, both through live performance and the use of recording and technology, and continue to showcase newly commissioned works. With a community spirit, Voce will bring together musicians and singers to connect with audiences to share the joy of music both educationally and artistically.
Founded in 1989 and now under the direction of Dr. Richard Giarusso, Voce Chamber Singers has been hailed as "Northern Virginia's premier choral ensemble" by The Washington Post. Voce has performed at the Smithsonian Castle, The National Theatre, U.S. Botanic Gardens and Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Voce has been twice nominated for the Governor's Awards for the Arts in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and was honored at the Arts Council of Fairfax County's A Call to the Arts Celebration. Voce has been featured as a 'best bet' on WETA-TV's Around Town broadcast television program, and was the subject of a half-hour worldwide radio broadcast on Voice of America's Kaleidoscope radio program.
